Transportation and Getting to CIS
Here is a map of the DSB train system in the Copenhagen Area for the Daytime of Weekdays.
Please note that train routes and schedules may differ in the night and during the Weekends.
The use of Rejseplannen is recommended.
From the airport: The best way from the airport into the city is using the metro. Tickets can be purchased from the transit company (DSB) at the airport and it takes approximately 20-25 minutes to get directly downtown. Here is a link for information from the airport. Within the city, the ideal way to get around is by S-Trains; the simplest way is to switch from the metro to the S-Train at Nørreport station.
To the school: The best option at the moment (used by our students/staff) will be to take transit to the S-Train station called Nordhavn and walk from there (walking map).
Once the school has booked a hostel/hotel, we are happy to provide exact details on transport from the hotel to the school. Please email email@example.com.
These hotels are reasonably priced and have good transport connections to the city and the school:
"Steel House”, youth hostel, close to Vesterport station (S-Train).
The address is: Herholdtsgade 6, 1605 København V
The link to their website is: https://www.steelhousecopenhagen.com/
(We had previously spoken to Steel House and there should be availability during the conference, but bookings are advised to be made well in advance to ensure that the students do not have to share a room with a stranger).
“Danhostel” located near the Central station (S-Train).
The address is: H. C. Andersens Blvd. 50, 1553 København V
Their website address is: https://danhostelcopenhagencity.dk/en
If those hotels do not have sufficient rooms or aren’t to your liking for whatever reason, the following are also good choices for accomodation:
